RL Restaurant-Chicago, IL represents Designer Ralph Lauren’s debut into the restaurant industry. This is one of our favorite restaurants. It features the vision and decor of Ralph Lauren and modern City-Club cuisine. The food is inspired by the American classics-seafood, steaks, chops and salads. They do not have a gluten free menu but have an amazing procedure in place. They sponsor dinners for Celiac Groups. We fell very comfortable dining here. The servers are very knowledgeable and so is the staff. You can always ask for a manager if you are feeling unsure. We have spoken to the manager a few times and have always been very accommodating. They can adapt almost any dish on the menu to make it gluten free. The menu can change on a daily basis. We had for starters, the Beet Salad which they modified to make gluten free. Also, we had the Scallops with a Cauliflower Puree with Mushrooms on the side. They also have a great wine list for you to choose from. We have also gone for brunch and had their Omelet. You can choose what you would like in it. The sweetest part of the dinner was being able to have an amazing dessert!!!! We had the Banana Fosters!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is made with Myer’s Rum, Brown Sugar-Cinnamon Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream!! This is NOT TO BE MISSED! Christopher Yum is the Captain. He helped us order the last time we dined there. He was amazing and gave us great suggestions which we took and enjoyed! Our rating is 7.0.
