In-N-Out

In-N-Out burger is regional chain with locations in the southwest. It has been around since 1948 and it is our favorite fast food restaurant.  They only offer burgers, french fries, shakes and beverages.  They do not have a gluten free menu but they can make your burger gluten free by wrapping it in lettuce.  They do not have gluten free buns.  They only use pepper in making their burgers.  You need to let them know that you need it gluten free because the burger with lettuce is on the menu as a protein style burger.  If you let them know that you need it gluten free they will make sure that the burger is not cooked near the buns that are also on the same grill. Their fries are make fresh at the restaurant and are not frozen.  They actually cut the fries and that is the only thing that goes into their fryer and their secret sauce is also gluten free.  They have a not so secret menu and that is where the protein style burger is located.  You can also order your gluten free burger as a double meat burger. There are not a lot options but what they offer is an excellent burger and fries.  The line for the drive-thru is usually down the street but worth the wait.  It is fun to dine in and enjoy your burger as well.  We have been to the locations in California, Nevada and Arizona and they are all excellent.  We wish they would expand to more states.  Our rating is 6.0.
