Flat Top Grill-Lombard, IL was inspired by the open-air fresh market grills of Asia. The restaurant is unique in that it caters to most food allergies. They have different colored sticks for you to put in your bowl before they cook it. For gluten free, the stick is white. The server will bring you a bowl and wooden stick to write your name so when it is cooked they can bring it to you. They will then cook your food in a separate wok. You choose your food from the buffet of vegetables, rice, noodles, and fruit. You ask for your server for your protein. The servers are very knowledgeable about food allergies. We feel comfortable with ordering our protein from them. We have had the gluten free, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and salmon. You fill your dish with all the fixings from the buffet then add your favorite sauce. The sauces are clearly marked gluten free. It is a fun restaurant because each time you go you can create a new dish as if you were the chef. No two dishes ever come out completely alike. You can order one bowl or the unlimited bowls and that gives you more chances to create the perfect dish. We also love the fact that they offer seasonal vegetables and fruits. We really enjoy going to this restaurant because it is fun to put together our favorite dishes and make new favorites. As they say you choose it and they cook it. Our rating is 7.0.
