Dr.Praeger’s

Dr. Praeger’s is an all-natural frozen food company. Most of their products are gluten free. The food is preservative-free Kosher, dairy free, free of artificial flavors and colors and MSG, trans-fat free and most are low in cholesterol, sodium, and/or saturated fats. Two heart surgeons started the line 20 years ago. We love that! We are a fan of the Veggie Burgers. There are seven varieties which include All American Veggie Burgers, Kale Veggie Burgers, Super Green Veggie Burgers, California Veggie Burgers, Black Quinoa Veggie Burgers, Mushroom Risotto Veggie Burgers, Heirloom Bean Veggie Burgers. We have tried them all and it’s hard to pick a favorite but we really love the Mushroom Risotto Veggie Burger. It is a mix of mushrooms, Arborio rice, peas, parsley, truffle oil and it’s soy free. It’s yummy if you are a mushroom fan! They are easy to prepare too. You can pop them in an oven or toaster oven, put them in a skillet or microwave. We were really surprised how quick and tasty these burgers are for a frozen item. We eat them as a burger, or we break them apart and put them in a salad or quinoa bowl with our favorite veggies. On the Dr. Praeger’s website there are also recipe ideas. We liked the Mushroom Risotto Casserole. There are also seafood burgers, cakes, puffs,and  hash browns. We have also tried the Cakes line and really like them as well. We tried the Spinach Cakcs and Broccoli Cakes. We loved the Spinach Cake. It’s a tasty mix of spinach, potatoes, and onions. They are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We liked eating them for breakfast as a side with eggs. We also made an Eggs Benedict with them. They have new food bowls and there’s also a product line of Littles for kids. To find out which products are gluten free just go to the website and filter all the gluten free products.
